Uptick Testnet 2.0 | Phase 2 Upgrade Completed
After the upgrade of Uptick Testnet [v0.2.1] to [v0.2.2] there was a problem with inconsistent chain data, resulting in the inability to generate valid snapshots. This makes the state sync function unable to work correctly, and greatly increases the storage and network costs of validator nodes. To fix this, we decided to conduct a hard fork.
The Uptick Testnet 2.0 started fork operation when the blockchain height reached [926000] on 11/28 (Monday). The validator community participated in this fork operation actively. Within 3 hours, a total of 83 nodes were upgraded in a timely fashion and brought the new testnet to active mode with over 67% consensus. The Chain ID became uptick_7000–2.
During this upgrade process, the assets, configuration and some data of the marketplace were retained as the snapshot at the block height [926000].

The new testnet (7000–2) has been running well in the past four days. All planned functionalities have been tested with no issues. The validator nodes in the active set (150 out of 409) are in green mode. At this moment in time, we see strong peer-to-peer tech support in the validator community. Now we can announce the new Uptick Testnet 2.0 is upgraded successfully with the joint efforts in the community. Congratulations to everyone involved!
The 83 nodes mentioned above that participated in the genesis activation process will receive 5000 $UPTICK award-based testnet token delegation. These award-based delegations will affect the node’s position on the leaderboard
