Uptick Adds Video NFT Support (Uptick 1.1.9)
In response to the needs of our community, we are excited to announce support for video inside the Uptick app. Users can now publish video-based NFT assets under the [Video] category.
This first release is our attempt to enter the exciting audiovisual world of NFTs. Although this video-based NFT asset release is still in the experimental stage, users are now able to fully experience the format first hand inside the Uptick app.
We welcome our community to provide valuable feedback and Uptick will keep developing, and continue to support even more types of multimedia files in the future.
How to create a video-based NFT?
We have added a new ‘Video’ category. The creation process is essentially the same as other categories:
1) Click [Create]-[Video] to enter the creation page
2) Fill in the basic information, and upload a file in MP4 format (Max 20 MB)
3) Fill in the release information
4) Submit to create video NFT
How to browse video-based NFTs?
We have added a video logo to the lower left corner of the video-based NFT assets so that you can clearly distinguish the different media types. You can also directly switch to the ‘Video’ category to view.
In each list, we display a preview image of the video-type NFT. You can click the ‘play’ button in the middle of the image to view the whole video in the details page. Please note that it may take some time to load the video depending on your connection, so please be patient.
Note: In order to avoid the sudden sound on videos that may disturb others, silent mode is on by default. You can choose to turn the sound on in the upper right hand corner of the page.
