A guide to buying NFTs on Uptick NFT Marketplace (Mobile)
In this article, we will walk you through getting set up on the Uptick NFT mobile app, and show you how to buy your first NFT.
Let’s get started!
The first thing you need to do is download the Uptick NFT app.
Android
For Android users, simply search ‘Uptick NFT’ on the Google Play Store and install as you would for any other app.
iOS
For iOS users, please first download Testflight, and then scan the following QR code to initiate your download:
Setup
This is the first thing you will see after installing and opening up the app. Since this is (probably) your first time, go ahead and choose ‘Create New Account’:
Next, choose a username and password for your Uptick account and confirm by pressing ‘Create New Account’
This next step is very important. This is your ‘seed phrase’ and is used for recovering your wallet.
Press ‘Backup Wallet’ and then carefully write down the words in the exact order they are presented on a piece of paper.
Store them (offline) in a safe place you have access to.
Once you are 100% sure you have written down the words in the correct order (seriously, check it twice!) you can proceed to the next page by pressing the ‘arrow’ icon in the top left, where you will then be asked to confirm that you have backed up your seed phrase:
After pressing confirm, you’re now free to browse the marketplace and get started buying NFTs on Uptick!
Anything you do from now on will be tied on-chain to the seed-phrase you have just backed up. This means you will always have access to your assets, as long as you keep that phrase safe.
Buying NFTs on the Uptick Mobile app is super easy, simply browse the marketplace and select a listing. You will be brought to a page like this:
Press ‘Select’ and then ‘Confirm’ on the next page:
Next, select your wallet with the funds in:
After pressing ‘Wallet’ you will be asked to either enter your password, or use fingerprint identification to verify it is you making the purchase.
Done!
To view your recently purchased NFT, simply navigate to the ‘Collections’ tab at the bottom of the screen:
